Employment Al- Suwaidi & Company

Our highly regarded employment team represents employers and individuals in a variety of straightforward as well as complex cases.

Our lawyers have considerable experience advising on all aspects of employment law issues including contracts, employee incentives, workplace disputes, wrongful and unfair termination, protection of client information, discrimination, employee data protection, and regulatory issues. We have a wealth of expertise in representing employers of all types. In virtually every aspect of employment litigation and counselling, we are prepared to support you in your case.

We take pride in getting to know our clients, becoming familiar with their businesses and then working side by side with them to devise proactive solutions to their specific employment problems. As our clients grow and as local employment laws change, we help employers avoid claims and help them control litigation costs by providing them with preventive counselling.

When necessary, however, we do provide the appropriate litigation to defend employers and employees alike against claims for discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, breach of contract, whistle-blowing, trade secret misappropriation, and more.

We offer the first – and often the most effective – line of defence against expensive employment litigation. In addition to providing timely advice at our clients’ request, we also offer periodic issue alerts and seminars, all of which provide our clients with the latest legal developments, emerging issues, and key strategies to reduce the risk of liability.

We assist clients in protecting their valuable trade secrets through the use of carefully drafted proprietary information and invention assignment agreements, post-employment non-solicitation and other non-interference covenants, and, where enforceable, noncompeting agreements.

With our experienced lawyers, we help clients attract and retain workers at every level, enter and exit markets as business conditions warrant, develop and implement effective employment policies, identify and protect trade secrets and other confidential information, and negotiate and enforce a range of employment contracts.

Our team provides clients with a fully informed appreciation of the potential risks and exposures of their employment policies and decisions. We are regularly engaged in all forms of litigation, including civil trials in matters that involve individual wrongful discharge, employment discrimination, related employment torts, and enforcement of or defending against non-competition clauses.

Our diverse set of experiences provides a firm foundation to navigate the risks associated with mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. We have an in-depth knowledge of data privacy laws and their related compliance matters. Clients can rely on Al Suwaidi & Company for all of their employment needs.
